Ok,
I'm going to Best Buy to purchase a 60" flat screen without telling anyone or thinking about whether or not it would be the best application of the money, I'm going to turn the A/C down to 58 degrees and tell the wife and kids to "put on a sweater", I'm going to watch R-rated DVD's on my new TV with the volume up really loud and I'm not fast-forwarding through scary/violent/bedroom scenes and I'm going to nurse a Bulleit and Coke throughout the whole thing.
Can I visit the virtual spa more than once? I am going to the beach this time. My favorite beach is Mission Bay in San Diego California. I am there from dawn until the night fall just watching the waves beat upon the sand and wondering about the lives of the people as they pass. I never leave my favorite spot. I never hunger, thirst or have to the bathroom. I am free to think, process my thoughts and draw upon the wisdom from inside. I find myself again...
Of course you can visit more than once - come whenever you feel the need! Mission Bay - how nice! I haven't been there in what feels like a million years...I could use some warmth myself...laying in the sun, a nice dry heat (but not too hot or windy). Nice big glass of GOOD iced tea, the smell of salt air and jasmine....ahhhh
I'm going to the kind of beach where the sand is white and the water is clear aqua blue...maybe Mexico, yes Mexico. The sky here is that deep, dark blue with a few whispy clouds. It is silent except for the lapping of the waves and the cry of a bird once in awhile. I'm dozing, but I do not sleep. The sun is making me feel like a turtle on a warm rock. The soft breeze keeps me from getting too hot.
I hear a whisper of footsteps behind me. "May I get you something from the bar, Senora?" "Si", I say, "Pina Colada, please". I might read a book later, but now I'll go get wet before my drink comes.
I'm wading into the warm, clear water. The sand on the ocean floor is soft against my feet. I plunge in and swim a few laps. I float for awhile on my back, then turn over and peer down to see a school of tropical fish go by. I let the waves carry me back to shore.
I come out of the water and walk slowly back to my lounge chair...the sand in Mexico does not get hot in the sun. I settle back into my chair as my drink arrives. It is tall and icy perfection...a lot like me.
Oh ya, I'm also very thin in this fantasy.
