At the time my hubby at the time (ex now) was a truck driver that barely made fairly good money and when I realized his spending habits, I refused to ask my father for anymore money. It put the pressure directly on him. Man he hated that, but halfway rose to the occasion. I learned real quick on payday that I better get to Wal Mart and get what I needed for the kids or otherwise he would blow it on the video poker machine. No more kids with him.... so he found a girlfriend. She was my new best friend....she took my problem off my hands.
Not a good idea to try for a certain sex. My cousin wanted a boy badly because he farmed at the time and wanted someone he could pass the farm to. He had 7 children.....all girls. His brother had 1 child....yep, a boy!
