An 18 year old is an adult. Old enough to vote, old enough to be called a man or woman.

No one said they were adults, just that they are men and women... which they are.

Two sexes - male and female.

Then they should be identified as such; male and female, not men and women.

A man, by definition is an adult male (per Merriam Webster).

A woman, by definition is an adult female (per Merriam Webster).

How do you qualify a 13 or 14 year old as adult? Or even a 15, 16 or 17 year old?

Varsity Males Team

Varsity Females Team.

Now, we need a qualifier because just "male" or "female" sounds like adults.

Varsity Young Females Team

Varsity Young Males Team

Huh?

Don't fix it if it ain't broken.
