I am looking for some advice on how to handle a situation about my son saying his teacher smacked him in the face.

Do you believe him? Because chances are it's not true. You still need to look into it...

Unless it is true (which is very unlikely)...you should look in to WHY he would say that.

I need more info. What is your child's age? If in doubt, make an appointment w/ his teacher.

I seriously doubt that a teacher- in 2009- would smack a kid, no matter how much h/she wanted to.

Ask him what he did to drive the teacher to do that. Then watch him stammer.

As my parents would have said, what did he do?

Then I would have been in even more trouble.

I don't want to call your child a liar. I just don't see this happening.

I think someone else has asked:

How old is he?
Did he have a mark?
How did he tell you?

Somehow it seems as though YOU yourself don't believe him.

IF I believed my child (huge mark on his face) I would have called the police and filed a report ASAP. But chances are it didn't happen. But just because the chances are low, doesn't make it an impossibility.
