And we wonder why girls self esteem is so low?
why make them feel they have to look a certain way? I'm disgusted in NICK, and from now on will NOT allow my children to watch the channel, though their was limited show on Nick i let them watch to begin with.
Guess i'll continue sticking to Sprout and PBS for quality television.

Why does Dora need to compete with the Bratz? Oh, that's right, someone in the marketing department realized that the tweens control the world (because we let them).
Tweens only control the world because parents buy into that stuff and let them. Without parents, tweens would control nothing.

They are changing Dora to keep the audience as it ages, trying to appeal to the tween group (according to the company) because parents furnish that age group with all that stuff.

What is sad, is they will be losing the very audience Dora was created for, the pre-schoolers.

Well fortunately i forbid my kids from watching that crap, we watch real cartoons not some spanish speaking idiot on tv. We watch spongebob or the old tom and jerry, looney toons etc. No need to brainwash my kids watching that filth of dora the explorer, my niece was allowed to watch that garbage and ended up jumping off the couch and splitting her lip open because she saw dora do it.

It really irritates me to flip through the channels and all i see is little brown people in cartoons or a brown kid with a white mom and black dad, that stuff is sickening and is brainwashing our kids. What happened to tom and jerry, woody woodpecker, bugs bunny etc etc...the stuff i grew up on. Now they can't wait for the kids to be put in public brainwashing institutions aka public school so they make cartoons that brainwash them!

Ugh, I have GOT to find that damn ignore button.

I really like Dora as she is. I'll have to head over to the Nickjr website and see if the parents are up in arms so I can join in. Perhaps Nickjr hasn't heard of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Click on My Settings on the top left corner. On the left hand side under Settings & Options is Edit Ignore List.

PBS Kids has great television for kids, haha. Same with Playhouse Disney.
