I have been doing research and it appears most parents would not be satisfied. Even though I know most of you say "I am not racist and I would not care at all" and "if they want to do it, it is OK" but seriously? However we are human and we really do not know how we will respond if that situation actually happens to them throughout there lifetime.
All honesty right now, if you had a daughter who is 16, and your 16 year old daughter brings a black man, who is the same complexion as Wesley Snipes, how would you really react as a parent? Instead of giving the politically correct answer, just think about how you would react at that moment.
In some cultures, they would literally disown their daughters them from the spot if a situation like that happens.
I think YOU would have a problem, that's why YOU posted the question. But seriously, If my daughter brought home a white dude, I could careless, seriously. As long as he respects her. He's fine.
I'd hate to have to use my "Roscoe" on the young feller.

Interracial, probably not. Our daughter dated a couple of black guys and we didn't care.
I did, however, do my best to educate her about some cultures, and there is a difference. I explained about the cultural treatment of women and children. Nothing bothers me more than to see a woman all covered up from head to toe in that all garb, and nothing would have hurt me more than to see my daughter as one of them.
However, she wasn't the type. And when she did date a guy from such a background she dumped him quickly. (Whew!)
While our American blacks have a different "culture" from American whites (in varying degrees), at least there is a common ground in sharing what we DO have in common. Hard to explain. I hope you know what I'm trying to say here and that I'm making sense.

Well, my son went to the ring dance with someone of a different race. So sure...fine with me!! Hey I'm just happy she was a girl!!
If I had a daughter and she brought home a guy the same complextion as W.Snipes, it would not bother me at all.
But than again..........I'm black.
This is exactly what I was thinking.
To answer the OP's question: Honestly, I wouldn't care even though I know that there are people out there who would. There would be more important things to worry myself with, like, "Is my daughter happy in this relationship?", "Does he treat her well?", etc. But, hey, maybe that's just me lol.

Black, no, as true love sees no skin color. My problem would be if they were Muslim or atheist - just because when your religion clashes you are in for real trouble in a relationship. And I would not want to see a child of mine in that kind of struggle.
No, I am not my parents. They would have had a fit.
My older son has introduced me to several of his dates and there have been black girls, Asian girls, an Iranian girl, Mexican girls and white girls. It isn't up to me to judge his dates, and I've never had a problem with any of these girls. They all seemed like pretty nice girls to me. If and when he gets to the point of marriage and children, I still wouldn't have a problem with it.
Considering that I am a white woman married to a black man....nope, I certainly wouldn't have a problem with any of my children dating a person of a different race.
