Arresting the father for throwing pizza at his daughter is lame. Kids today call 911 more then ever & that should be addressed. I guess the public servants in gainsville, florida have nothing else better to do. SAD!
Three years ago to the day! Wondered what happened.
Bad parenting is teaching or utilizing bigotry or racial ignorance.
I believe any parent whom teaches bigotry should be jailed and charged with a felony. Long run he/she has damaged the mind of a child and possibly a community as children learn from their peers.

Since when is it not a crime to thrown something at anyone. The fact that he threw it at his own child does not make it less of a crime. What if he threw it at the waitress? Or at his wife? Or at a friend who was at the table?
The racial slur may not be a crime, but throwing something *at* another person certainly is.

Yes, but not every crime that's detected is prosecuted (nor could all of them possibly be); we expect the authorities to exercise some discretion. They don't seem to have done that here.
I don't think the parent should be arrested but he through a pizza at his daughter. That's completely unacceptable.
If the pizza did indeed go through his daughter, that sucks. If he threw it at his daughter, not so serious, but still not okay.
