I LIKE that! It's got a beautiful sound to it. Very melodious.

Is the "mar" part pronounced like fair or far? Either way it's a beautiful name.

Oh right, forgot Marilena
Beautiful name indeed. We have both Marilena and Marinela as girl names in our country, but I find Marilena prettier.

If I ever have a daughter, I already know I will name her Clara. For me this sounds so clean and lady like and easy to pronounce in many languages. I wouldn't want to give her a very "different" name, because I don't wan her to get teased at school. Also, the name has to work when she is older, too.

To the OP: has your daughter given birth yet?

I know, right? I love this name! And to think I always wanted a boy until this girl name hit me one day. If I do have a boy, however, I have no idea how to name him (not that I am even pregnant or planning on it for teh next few years). And get this: most of my girlfriends know how they would call their future girls, but not one has an idea for a boy name.

I had names picked out before I was even married....I didn't even come close to those names. I grew up and my tastes changed!
