Before I had kids I never wanted any. Now I have 4, never planned on 4. I could never give any of them back and love them all but I never was one of those women who dreamed of being a mom like June Cleaver with the tollhouse cookies and picket fence. If you had told me 13 years ago I would have 4 kids I would have laughed at you and called you crazy.

What a great way to put it!
Add me to the "one and done" club. Our daughter will be 4 in March and we're done.. my husband actually had a vasectomy when Alexis was 2 years old, we had known for awhile we wanted an only... but gave ourselves a few years before biting the bullet. Life couldn't be better with our small family, I couldn't imagine it any different.

I basically grew up as an only child (my sisters are 10 and 13 years older than me) and I hated it. I envied my friends with brothers and sisters closer to their own age. I said I would never have only one child or have kids too many years apart from each other. I'm pregnant with twins now and I'd like to have 1 more child (although due to genetic issues I'm highly likely to have twins again), then I'm probably done. My maximum is 4 kids.
