I know the holidays can be distracting but this seems to happen every year.
I'll buy something early to be sure I have it and hide it...too well..then spend a few hours Christmas Eve trying to remember where. It's usually a somewhat major gift that really needs to be found. This year I found it pushed back on an upper kitchen shelf...around 11 tonite..

I can't be the only one...at least I hope not.

That happens to me all the time, I type this as I'm scouring the house for "missing" presents. It also happened to my mother, she would hand me presents days after Christmas she'd just found again, kinda like having 2 Christmases!

Don't stress, you will find it, even if not in time for Christmas Morning, perhaps you will find it later, can make another present, kids get too much for Christmas, anyways!

Merry Christmas!

It used to happen when my kids were toddlers. But then I started a box that I keep up high in my closet to put it all in. It's a plastic bin and I sometimes pick up little things throughout the year to put in it. Also very handy when you need a quick gift for a bday party you forgot about, or when you're one gift shy of making sure your little ones got the exact same amount of gifts!

I had a gift for my son that was not delivered (as expected) before Christmas, so Santa wrote him a letter (he was 5) and said that it must have not gotten into the sleigh, but that he would have Mrs. Claus put it in the regular mail as soon as he got back to the North Pole. Sure enough, a few days later, the UPS guy delivered a big box to the door, addressed to my son. And inside was the blanket he had been waiting for!

(I, too, do the bin-on-a-high-shelf thing with the presents.. not just to keep them hidden from peekers, but so that *I* know where they are!)

Heh - at least you remember you bought them! It seems that every year I buy some little thing early - I just see something that I think is cute or would be fun or that I think someone would enjoy so I buy it ahead of time, feeling very happy to have something done early....except I forget about it until about Feb when I invariably find it while cleaning a closet.....unfortunately for me, no one's birthday is anytime near then.....
