No. I never saw myself as a parent. As a young child it was instilled in me to obtain higher education and get a high paying career. It was drilled into me NOT to marry young and have "rugrats" to ruin my life. Well I got married at 17 and 4 years later I had my first rugrat!! What a JOY! I still got to finish college and got a really good career too! I just NEVER imagined myself as a mother. So glad that I am though. And SO glad I didn't listen to those people.
Sure, ever since I was a little girl I wanted to someday have babies. My hope was to be able to have at least one boy and one girl. I had 2 boys and one girl so I was happy.
What poor options! You could have given more selections. As a little girl, I dreamed of having 4, 2 boys & 2 girls. That all changed after my high school sweetheart and I broke up. My dh from my 1st marriage had me talked out of them, so at that time I didn't see me having children, just pets. When I remarried, my dh asked me if I would like a baby, and I searched deep down into my soul and realized that I did. Would I want 10 more? No thanks. I'm having too much fun walking hand in hand through every stage w/ this one. She totally completes us.
So there's no option for "No, I didn't - and I don't have any"....
