Been there...done that. We were at a tournament out of state and the cleats got left behind. We ended up having to buy a new pair..I wrote lists of what to pack and nagged and nagged about reading it too...
I wouldn't have thought it was quite that funny except that my son took ONE CLEAT to school and left one at home. I understand that you can forget your cleats (we have had to buy new ones on the road also) but how do you leave ONE home and take ONE to school?
Another thing it may be is the dementia setting in. I've wondered whether my son is really easier or I'm just not all there... If that's the case, I won't admit in RL that it is the dementia, I'll say that it's old eggs and BC I am more laid back.
I was wondering why there aren't more support groups for mom's of teens? They have all the mommy and me groups, etc for the mother's of children 5 and under. Heck, those years were much easier in some ways because the kids did everything (well, almost everything)we asked. Don't you think there needs to be more support for moms of teens? IMO, teen's go through so much more during these years and so do we as parents. We truly need all the support we can get from other veteran mom's.
It was very hard to keep my foot down but it's the only way they are going to learn.
These aren't the years that we can be their friends. It is good if we can come together and compromise about certain issues but not all of them. I was enemy #1 for a few years.
