It's not illegal, Dub. THat's the point of the whole thread. The law protects breastfeeding moms. Breasts, when being used to feed a baby, are exempt from indecency laws. You don't have to like it; but it is what it is.
When did breast become a public part of the body in the USA? I know its not a big deal in many areas of the world but if you expose your breast in this country, that is still illegal. Point is, you can manage in other ways just like you said with fake teats while you are in public. Thanks for proving my point.
It is not illegal to expose your breasts to breastfeed. And you totally and completely missed TouchOfWhimsy's point.
I have seen women completely flop out a tit fully exposed. It was fully exposed for several seconds before she started feeding. Yes, there are women who do not care if someone sees their tit because breast feeding is "beautiful". Really didn't understand why her first step was exposing her tit but since its legal, I guess thats ok! If any women started breastfeeding in my dads old restaurant, I would have kicked her out ASAP. Considering people are eating and many people do get offended see this occur, its bad for business. When the hell did kicking someone out of a business become news? That is complete utter BS. My dad kicked out a few people over the years for being rude. Half of them started playing the race card after he said you need to leave.
Breast Feeding in public is just as bad as going #1. You will get a ticket for public urination. This "what are you suppose to do if the baby is hungry" logic is weak. If you are away from home with your baby for several hours in a row, no s*it the baby will get hungry. You need to ensure a good place to fed the baby so other people do not need to see that. What about people with Crohn's Disease? Often times, once they feel the urge they need to go...they can't hold it for more than a few seconds. Do you think its ok for them to just pee in public? No, they have to completely change their lifestyle so they can be close to a bathroom at pretty much all times.
WOW.
First of all Crohn's disease does not affect urination. Second of all, BFing isn't a public health risk. Pooping in public is.
Your post is riddled with inaccuracies and flat out lies. Try again.

Thank you for saying that; I thought maybe I was unclear.
The point was that I (as well as most others, I imagine) would find it offensive to see someone using a D**DO in public. Should I also find it offensive to see someone using a bottle? After all, the first is a replica of a male's private organ. The second is a replica of a woman's breast and nipple, which you say is too private to be out in public. Does it matter much if the second is to feed a baby? It's supposed to replicate a breast, after all... and the nipple is not even covered, it's just out for anyone to see! Should bottlefeeding moms be required to do so under a blanket, lest anyone get a glimpse of a rubber nipple and start thinking dirty thoughts?
Why is it ridiculous? Because you say it is or because in both cases, human fluids are leaving the body in a public area. Some people believe drinking ones urine is good for the body.
Former UFC Champion drinks his own urine. Say he had a cup in hand and couldn't find a bathroom. Say he just flops it out and starts peeing. What is the difference between that and breast feeding? This liberty new mothers have about breast feeding is RIDICULOUS. I'm a new mother so I should be able to do whatever I want!
BFing in public is NOT new. The disgust and absolute idiocy shown by others towards BFing IS.

It's against the law to kick a woman out of a restaurant for breastfeeding. You could try it, but I don't think you'd like the results.
(And why were you looking at that woman's breast for several seconds? If you were offended, why didn't you look away?)
