There are some situations like this where the person who supposedly has BO is not the problem. That's caused by the "super-smeller" who is complaining. That is someone with an overly acute sense of smell, along with a righteous sense of duty to report it to the alleged offender.

Funny. This thread made me think of when I first started trying to buy normal bath products for my sons (like, not "kids" products.) I must have stood for an hour, wandering around looking at the body washes and deodorants, and sniffing things... Like, I just wanted bathroom products made for...anyone...not for MANLY STUDLY LUMBERJACK MEN which I feel a lot of that stuff is marketed like, and ugh, it's all over-fragranced, too. I just wasn't ready for a ten year old kid to be smelling like a...gigolo in a pine forest...or a Norse Pimp Wolf God...or something.
And lo, my intro to the wide world of men's products. I'm pretty sure I said out loud, "Swagger? What in the hell does a swagger smell like? Why are they all called things like 'Arctic Lightening!'...it's like Arctic Frost Gatorade, what the heck kind of a flavor is that?? Nothing makes sense anymore I swear."
I started both of my kids with the natural deodorants (not anti-perspirants). Tom's of Maine and Arm and Hammer were the ones we bought, I believe. Once they were into full-blown puberty, that didn't cut it and they switched to regular anti-perspirant. I'd start with just the deodorant for now and see if that's enough for her.
