Everything was great until the skanky cheerleaders came out in their skimpy outfits shaking their butts and boobs in our faces. It was so gross. They were so close we could smell them. Our oldest son who was just 11 at the time got red in the face, he was so shocked by what he was seeing. He asked if we could leave, so we gladly got up and left early. We felt embarrassed having brought our children there.
So he was in to watching sweaty men in tank tops and shorts, but got all freaked out by women in tight outfits dancing?

Maybe he was just embarrassed over the funny feelings he was experiencing watching the girls dance and was afraid his mom would beat him severely for getting turned on by "skanky" cheerleaders.

I just don't know, some of you folks are prude and overbearing to the point of insanity.

I was trying to make a joke about the possibility that her son was simply more into watching the men then the women. It was in poor taste, but I just can't get past how puritan some people around here seem to be. If she was so offended by the "skank" cheerleaders, I wonder what would happen if her son came home and said he was gay.

Where did "beat him severely" come from? Yikes. We don't even spank.

I guess I just fail to understand why your son was embarassed to the point of wanting to leave. I could understand the parents depending on their attitudes and beliefs not liking it, but for an 11 year old boy to be shocked to the point of wanting to leave seems crazy to me.

Did your son say exactly what about it bothered him that he wanted to leave? I could imagine that most parents who thought the situation to be that bad would have had to drag an 11 year old boy away kicking and screaming from the cheerleaders.

I think so too, but even if it was meant to be said sarcastically, I just thought I'd add that

I had a friend a few years back. It was his b'day and 2 of his female friends thought it would be hilarious to take him to a strip club and get him a lap dance. He was completely appalled by it and actually paid the hooker to get away from him and he walked out.

No, this guy wasn't gay nor was he a prude. He was just a respectful type of guy who was (obviously) raised right and had no interest in seeing females prancing around nude and definitely didn't want one near him.

Some people don't like strip clubs. I also happen to be one of those people. For instance, my bachelor party was at a Belgian beer cafe where we ate, drank good beer and smoked some nice cigars. I've been to a strip club about 3 times in my life for other events, but it isn't something I personally enjoy.

There is a big difference though between going to Hooters or seeing cheerleaders at a basketball game and going to a strip club and getting a lap dance. I think being appalled by the former makes you a bit of a prude. Being appalled by the latter is more normal in my book. Who really wants a stranger rubbing her parts all over you for $20.
