hi-i'd love to hear from other people on this one. my sons best friend is having a party at hooters-just a couple of boys and their fathers-my son is not going-my husband and i just dont think its appropriate-by the way, the birthday boy is turning 10-it makes me sad how this is becoming more "normal" where i live-i am in ny-long island-when did it become ok to expose children purposely to such overt sexuality?? if adults want to go fine-but these are kids? what do you think??

Not a good idea IMO. I really don't know what parents are thinking.

It's really sad how so many younger parents today seem so clueless when it come to the concept of "age appropriateness"

Good for you and your husband for taking a stand for your values.

Bad idea. If Dad plans Hooters for the 10th birthday, Dad will likely plan a strip club party when he becomes a teenager at 13.

Lazer Tag?
Paintball?
Bowling?
movie and pizza?
roller skating?
pool party?
campout in the backyard?

All of these are things we did over the years

Sounds like it's more a party for the fathers. Hooters isn't really that bad a place though. No more overt sexuality than the cheerleaders at a football game.

A paintball party would be a whole lot more fun for the kids.
