I just saw a commercial and thought, oh hell no! But then I figured there must be a market out there, else the company would not be marketing them.
So, how many of you parents like this stuff, and would put your children in them? I'm guessing parents who only buy expensive name brand items for their children would do this. Am I wrong?
I saw those! My kids are out of diapers, but I doubt I'd buy them. I was never one to let my kids run around in a diaper and no pants, so what's the point if the diaper is covered up? I might buy them if the price was the same or less than regular ones, but I wouldn't pay extra for them.
I'm forced to buy the pricey diapers, as the cheap ones my kids were/are too sensitive for. You'd think they're the same, but the skin doesn't lie, I suppose =P
As for buying jean diapers, where's the point. I have the wrangler jean diaper cover thingies, they've been through 2 kids so far, and still look brand new...I LOVE THOSE THINGS!
a diaper is made for one reason and one reason alone... to hold poop and pee...if you want your child's bottom to look cute, thats what clothes are for
I work retail and me and my coworkers had a big disgusted laugh when I unpacked these things. Soo ugly and tacky. I would think this was a SNL skit it I didn't see it in the store myself. Ugh! hahaha
I use cloth diapers with cute prints and leave her pants off regularly, much more than I ever did with my first dd who wore Pampers. In the cloth diapering community there is a huge market for diapers that look cute. I can see why a company might think such a market could exist for disposable diapers too.
Disposable diapers contain the same chemical as astronaut 'maximum absorbency garments", fire-control gels, soil conditioners, those toys that grow when you add water, and floral gel. The super-absorbent chemical is sodium polyacrylate [monomer: -CH2-CH(CO2Na)- ], which was invented by scientists at Dow Chemical Company and results from polymerizing a mixture of sodium acrylate and acrylic acid.
Babies are so over soaked in chemicals they are getting pickled in them. Sunscreen, disposables, lotions, disinfectants, it never ends.
When a baby has wet and sits in a disposable diaper, those chemicals soak into those little baby bottoms. Then add creams and lotions and you get a chemical plant right there in the diaper.
Oh, come on, people, get a sense of humor! That has to be one of the best ad campaigns I've ever seen: "My diaper is full...full of chic...and when I do #2, I still look like #1. I poo in blue." Pure comedy gold!
I don't get it....it takes two seconds to put a kid in a pair of shorts...why do you have to have diapers that look like denim??
If you haven't guessed....I'm not a fan of diapers as outerwear, at least not in public.
