We're planning a trip in August and would love to stay at one of the supposedly "haunted' Gettysburg places. Wondering if any of you have any experiences you'd like to tell...also, which haunted tours are the best bang (or boo!) for the buck? Thanks in advance...

The last time I went (about 3 years ago) the Ghost Tour that I went on was the one out at the school/college. Our guide went over a lot of history of the area as well as the actual tour area itself & as a bonus she had some personal experiences to share.

I think this was the one we went on. There are so many different companies doing them.
Ghosts of Gettysburg - Tours

My friend & I went to a brewpub for dinner that was across from the starting point of the tour. Their food was good & they had an interesting selection of beers that you could try before you ordered. It made for an enjoyable evening.

Check out the Lightner House. It was a working farm that was used as a field hospital during and after the battle. It is now a very nice B&B and yes...it is haunted!

That's probably the most well known haunted INN/Hotel there.

About fifteen years ago I walked out into the Triangular Field to take photos. I had about 10 photos left on my roll of film and my camera started rewinding the film. When I had it developed, there was orange blobs in the background pf the Triangular Field photos that I did get.

This place really scared me. I was video taping the grounds at night, when we got there. I heard footsteps coming toward me, but there was no one there. There is a little water display, by the porch that was loud, but you can still hear the footsteps on the tape. And both days we spent there, was alot going on ..

We'll agree with the Farnsworth. Stayed in the Black room. Experiences a lot of the night and the next day caught a ball of light on film going through the door. Too cool!
