Okay, I know York Suburban (can't afford to live there!), Dallastown, and Central School Districts seem to be the best. However, is there anything wrong with Red Lion? I keep getting a mixed vibe on the Red Lion School District.

If you are an involved parent, attend open houses, communicate with the teacher and motivate/encourage your child(ren) to do well in school, your children will do well in Red Lion School District. People might argue that there are some elementary schools that are better than others, but my experience with parents who have been forces behind their children, with expectations of their students and an open line of communication with teachers and administrators is that they have done very well.
In our small development, students who have attended Red Lion schools for their entire schooling have graduated with honors, as #1 and #2 in their classes and have gone on to attend Penn State Main Campus, the Coast Guard Academy, Princeton University, University of Delaware, Univ. of Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and a host of the other state colleges.
