Yes, I just noticed the cars this weekend. They're Nissans from across the street. I hope this isn't permanent!

I did read that in the paper and I was to the Burlington outlet in Factoryville (? - route 11 south of Wilkes-Barre) some years ago. I don't buy name brands so factory outlets don't do much for me. Getting a name brand $500 coat for $100 may seem good to some people but I'll just get my coats for $50 at Wal-Mart, thank you very much. Likewise I've never been impressed by the Reading outlets for the same reason.

Any news on the rumors of Target backing out in the new shopping area? I'm fearful that it will all fall apart as I'm very excited about finally having a Target in this area. Somebody stated that things may fall through if things didn't pick up with getting the site ready so nervous.......

I haven't heard anything more about it. I do hope they're still planning on coming here. I was out to Target in State College recently and have to go out again but going over the mountain becomes much less desirable during the winter.

Thanks Dawne. I guess things are quiet right now and I guess that's better than news of them backing out! I love stopping into the Target in State College when I'm down that way. I lived in Pleasant Gap for three years and actually stopped sopping at Wal Mart and only went to Target that's how much I loved the store. I agree too about the dangerous driving to State College this time of year. Route 45 is scary and I slid down the mountian a few years back coming home late from a BJC concert. I wish State College would only be about a half hour away as I'd be down there all the time.

Pleasant Gap is such a neat little town. When you go out Route 45 and turn at Centre Hall up over the mountain into Pleasant Gap, then turn left at the light to go past Rockview to the SC mall, just after that light in PG on the left there's a brick house with bricked arches that I have always admired so much. We don't go that way much any more, though. We hardly ever go to the mall and just stay on 45 to 322 and then head on out to Target. Once we get our Target here I'll probably not shop at Wal-Mart much any more either. We avoid it now, except for late nights and early mornings. Parking is a nightmare so we usually go to Kmart instead (which is hardly ever busy).

Haha.....deleted my post and didn't realize it stayed on there. Yeah I agree that Walmart is a nightmare and I only go too if late at night. I enjoy K Mart too but sometimes hate the traffic to go out that way. I like shopping at Giant sometimes too for a change from my constant trips to Weis. I'll be happy when Giant moves a little closer at the new shopping plaza

Good news: Target is still set to open in the new marketplace! I got word at work that we received something identifying Target as still being there. Guess Target had to foot the bill for a few pushbacks caused by rain to the site but they are still planning to build the store! I'm very happy

Yes, I met a friend for supper tonight and she mentioned seeing signs for Target deliveries to a certain area of the work site. I guess they're starting to deliver building materials. Can't wait!! Woo-hoo!!!!!
