When are you moving? Where are you coming from? Why are you moving? Where will you be working? Have you been here yet?

I plan to move this spring 2011 from NYC. I moving because I want a quiet cheap place to start a family close to the NYC Metro. I do work at NYC and Northern NJ. I have been few times at the Poconos resort- and spend the night at the a friends place at Philadelphia.

Will you buy or rent? If buying, are you looking for a house or a condo? How much can you spend? If renting, are you looking for an apartment, a townhouse or loft? How much can you spend? Do you prefer hi-rise or walk up?

I would be renting with a limit of $1000/month. I'm open to an apartment/ loft or townhouse- hi-rise or walk up no problem. The most important thing is I would need private parking-not street parking.

Are you married or single? Do you have children? Do you prefer public or private schools? Do you have pets? Do you want or need a yard? Are you keeping a car? Do you prefer bustling activity or calm and quiet?

I'm presently single but my spouse would be coming to meet me next year. No kids yet and don't like pets. Would love a yard if it's within my price range and prefer a calm quiet area.

What do you want to be closest to? Work, Shopping, Basic services, (supermarket, drugstore, etc.) Nightlife, train or subway stations

Want to be close to highway / subway station(s), basic services and shopping no nightlife.

Do you want to live with people of a similar age, race, religion or sexual preference or do you prefer a diverse neighborhood?

Diverse neighborhood recommended.

If you need public transportation, i.e. rail service, then you should look at Bucks County and South. There is no rail service North of Bucks county including the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos. If you are interested in the Philadelphia area then I can move your thread to that forum.

Langhorne PA would be a good choice and would put you next to the Trenton rail lines.
