[quote=I love the Bears;1347209]Boyertown is the best area around for raising children. My husband and I have 4 children - our oldest son is a jr in high school, our oldest daughter is a 7th grader at Junior High, our youngest son is in 4th grade and our baby is in Kindergarten. I grew up in Pottstown/Pottsgrove and I moved to Boyertown - where my husband grew up - to raise the kids. The schools are EXCELLENT, our car insurance and utilities are SOOOOO much cheaper in Berks County. Boyertown is the cleanest, safest area around. The community really supports the kids and the school - it is a big small town and you do have some of the old time attitudes - but they are really changing. There is so much to do in the area.
Montgomery County is very expensive - the insurance rates and utilities are crazy!
I love Boyertown and so do my children - my oldest son already talks about wanting his children to live here too.[/quot

Pretty soon the OLD Time Attitudes will be GONE. Even out here.

Pottstown is not a bad area at all. We hardly have any crime here. Go to philly if you looking for crime. I think your all just a little too unsettled about the race we have here. Everyone is very nice here. Of course there's some people to stay away from but that's everywhere you go. I love this town and would reccomend it any day. Plus if your so worried about Pottstown Schools there's always Pottsgrove too. Pottstown schools are very nice though so i should hope you would see no problem. Please don't say anything bad about it here until you've actually been here.
