And the CEO of Olympus moved his headquarters to Center Valley to be closer to his home in the Lehigh Valley.... Who said all the millionaires live on the Main Line?

I read that a firm's CEO moved his headquarters from CC Philly to Montgomery County just to be nearer to his mansion and to save a few million in wage taxes. Now that's using the old noodle.
Actually, while I certainly agree with you that most of Pottstown looks like a very working-class community, the "Rosedale" section adjacent to the hospital and the prestigous Hill School is filled with lots of gorgeous large and old homes -- clearly some affluent families live there. Also, Pottstown has quite a few older residents that possess considerable personal fortunes. You just wouldn't know it because many of them keep their purse strings very tight and live very modest lifestyles. The Great Depression generation, I suppose you could call them.
