Hi -- considering a move from CT to PA to be near family located in SE PA, Northern VA and Southern NJ. Considered DE, but didn't seen any towns that we really liked...plenty of lovely homes/communites, but......

Any suggestions?

There are many nice 55+ communities for you to choose from. What are you looking for in a home? 1 floor living? Townhome style? How about price range? Delaware County and Chester County have some nice communities, I'll send you a direct link with info.

Lower and central Bucks seem to be loaded with 55+ communities. Every time we see something new being built, it turns out to be an "active adult community."

Just be aware that they often have militant, intrusive homeowners associations. You've have to get permission to plant a flower or put furniture on your front porch.

Here in western PA, we call 55+ communities "nursing homes".
