My husband is being re-located to West Philly. (originally from Long Island, New York) We've been looking at Pottstown. Anybody know the pros and cons of the area? what about surrounding areas?

The city of Pottstown is largely a dump but the areas closeby are nice.

I live in Quakertown, which is about 35 minutes east of Pottstown. Pottstown itself is kind of shady but you can affordable housing in the area, Boyertown, etc...
