Does anyone have any info on this company? We are thinking of using them for a kitchen remodel. Any pros or cons? Or any another recomendations for a granite installer in Lancaster county?

BEWARE! We just did a bathroom remodel with Classic Granite. Our level 7 granite had a 2" x 1.5" flaw (indented area that was not polished) right on the top! They told us that this was to be expected, especially for the higher levels of granite (huh??) They never mentioned to us that there might be visible flaws in the finished product. Our two previous granite jobs with other vendors had no flaws. In addition, the pieces were measured wrong which delayed the job and the installation was so sloppy that it took the contractor and us hours to clean up the blobs of caulking and sealer - what a mess. Also, the bullnose edges were not polished. They would not work with us on the flaw at all - so much for the 100% guarantee. This was a terrible experience.

I used Frank's in Red Lion (York County) but also had good recommendations from Atlantic Granite in Dallastown (also York County). I was very pleased with the whole process.

Buyer Beware! They are complete scam artists. They accepted a check from me for a project that I didn't end up getting done and then never received my check back after I asked them numerous times. Completely unprofessional. I'm surprised they are still in business.

You may want to consider contacting your bank and explaining the situation and they may be able to stop payment on your check.

The checked already cleared. I made a few phone calls yesterday and there are some local builders and local kitchen places that use them and have had no problems. So I hope our job is one of the "no problem" jobs.
Also, both the people who complained here just joined CD and it is their only post - just saying....

Oh, I will let you know Lititizman how it all goes. I just found out today that Garman Builders uses them too so that can't be bad, can it? They are top notch builders in this area, from what I have heard. I will post back in a few weeks. It will probably be May until it is measured and then installed.

i would not worry at all! we were referred to classic granite through friends who had gotten their kitchen tops there, and now we have used them for a third time..they first did my kitchen 3 years ago, i came back and did my bathrooms and now we are doing a basement bar. always been professional, always done perfectly. only have good things to say about them--so i DEFINITELY would not hesitate using them! good luck! let us know how it went!!
