We are looking to move next year and want to know your thoughts on these districts. We are pretty much settled on either one.

Thoughts? Good, bad, indifferent?

Thanks

I think Parkland is slightly better. East Penn is also dealing with a popularity issue - everyone is moving there! Did you check out their numbers on Schools, High School, Public Schools, School District, Public High Schools - SchoolMatters. There isn't too much difference there. We visited the schools that our kids were going to attend to help us decide. I remember visiting one school in Bucks county that we really liked and the Principal of the school who coincidentally lived where we were moving from (and commuted) told us that while her school was a great one it was overcrowded and that it wasn't going to get any better. Knowing that was key in our decision to look in Lehigh County.

I just did tons of research on Parkland and East Penn school districts - we ended up going with East Penn (moving to Macungie).

The deciding factor bascially was the location of the elementray school - it was pretty much in an industrial park with lots of truck traffic!

Parkland is huge, so depending on where you live, your kid could ride 15 miles each way to middle or high school - I don't like that.

Thanks! I think I am leaning more towards East Penn. I think the houses are more in our budget. We are looking to move to Lower Macungie next year and wanted as much info before we really start hunting.
