though im horribly confused at the moment lol. we are looking at a job transfer..will find out for sure in the next few weeks. dh would be working in bethlehem, but we dont want to live there...i am actually looking at macungie...the schools there seem to be excellent (we go to a great one here, but the macungie marked even higher)..we also want that small town feeling. any other ideas on where we could move to that has available real estate (we are looking at under 300k...which is
to me..becuase our current house is only 94k and we bought it for 45k). but we need to be south of bethlehem as the church we will attend is south of phily.
also..is kindergarten full day or half day in pa?

Kindergarten in the Parkland SD and East Penn SD is half day. Different parts of Macungie fall into these two districts, both consistently high ranking in test scores.

The Pa State Education Website is a great place for info on public schools, although one needs to look at enrollment growth at the specific schools as much as the districts overall PSSA test scores. With high growth in some areas, and the new property tax relief initiative, many of the school districts will be looking for added funds, and likely ask for higher income/wage taxes to build additional schools; thus, what might seem a bargain today may change in the coming year(s). All state schools must meet the goals by 2014; not just the district on average.

to me..becuase our current house is only 94k and we bought it for 45k). but we need to be south of bethlehem as the church we will attend is south of phily.
