Hi, can you help - we are relocating to Collegeville - we currently live in Newtown,Bucks County (but are from the UK) We are looking for somewhere within 30 min drive to Collegeville max - are there any small towns with a center? In a good school district? I have been recommended Lower Merion (looks expensive and not sure if it has a center) and also Chester County - does anyone know if Chester Springs is nice?

Any recommendations or help would be much appreciated - thanks,Ali

I live near Chester Springs and it is beautiful--no "town center" per se. In fact, none of the towns around here have that except for Kimberton which is adorable and close to Collegeville via "back roads". O yea, Rt. 422 is a nightmare road so figure out alternative routes to work so that you do NOT have to travel 422. I try to avoid it when I can which is 90% of the time. There are lots of country roads which are great alternatives except in snow/icy conditions.

All of the school districts around here are highly rated but some are growing so fast that your children may get lost in the ever increasing crowd. Others are growing more slowly and that is a good thing!
