What would you say is the half-way point between Pittsburgh & Philly? Don't want to have to drive all the way to Philly to pick up a family member, so we're trying to see if the family out Philly can at least drive half way to meet up with us for the drop off.

Carlisle is a little closer to Philly than Pittsburgh. I'm not sure what the next exit on the turnpike is going west, but it might be more evenly in the middle.

King of Prussia interchange is 326, Monroeville interchange is 57, 326 - 57 = 269 miles. 269 / 2 = 134.5, 57 + 134.5 = 191.5

Willow Hill interchange is 189 and Blue Mountain interchange is 201 but both are in basically nowhere.

As is Fort Littleton (180) but at least Fort Littleton has a locally owned, not bad, and obviously located restaurant opposite the driveway to the toll booth.

But if you are going to want to sit and wait for a bit without being too obvious about it the Gateway at Breezewood (161) might be the best bet, can sit in the food court and wait. That favors your end but you can tell them that it's past the Midway service plaza.

Breezewood is ideal. You have approximately 5894032589342589342534 fast food vendors to choose from, and it's easy to get on/off. As an added bonus, you can go hike the abandoned turnpike while you're there!

Now that's a slight exaggeration. There's only 4 fast food vendors per capita.

NO ISH SHERLOCK...

Mapquest and Google maps don't give me as much commentary, especially the helpful commentary ki0eh gave.

Thanks again for all those who were helpful! Peace.

yeah, I see where you asked for travel guide commentary in your OP. Oh wait...

Maybe you should be, little mizz I need to take a Xanax and lighten up or figure out how to ask what I really want.

since you didn't specify if this would be a dive by drop off or stay the night, I'll also mention bedford which has more than fast food and a few places to stay. nice little town.
