I'm skeptical of Keller's position since his home county, PHiladelphia, does need lower wages for construction since most of its residents cannot afford construction there. only the few benefit by the higher wages (and most of them liver in jersey) while the many are hurt by higher construction prices. I don't pretend to be an expert on municipal finances but I think his argument is dubious. if anything, the lower wage construction jobs would be a raise for many in his district. thoughts?

"Workers will be paid less and (construction company) profits will go up," said Rep. William Keller, D-Philadephia, a union ally who tried but failed to modify the bills. "What we don't need in this economy is lower wages. Republicans are moving bills that help corporations keep more of their profits at the expense of higherly trained Pennsylvania workers and the public."
