hi,
we're thinking of relocating and are looking for a cute downtown (within 30 min. of a larger city). we have children and want low crime and excellent schools. we are not religious or conservative. we also care about the environment, health and fitness. we want some like-minded neighbors. we don't have more than 300,000 to spend on a house (we need a large home with a good-sized yard). is mount lebanon too conservative for us? any other ideas about where to relocate (not any colder than PA, michigan has been too cold for us).
i'll appreciate any feedback.
thanks.

Both. Like anywhere else. The best thing you can teach your child of is how to get along with every one.

The price point of $300,000 for a large home in Mt. Lebanon is the only flaw in your plan. Mt. Lebo sounds like a great match for your stated needs otherwise.

OK all forum readers...I see the original post to which I responded is greater than 10 years old....how did that happen? Shall I try to delete? That may exceed my skills

Lebo is a good mix of liberals and conservatives and you should definitely check it out. With that being said, some neighborhoods are definitely more conservative than others and you should definitely visit to get a better feeling of the area.
