Antiques, hybrids, yoga studio, historic houses, gays, liberals, health food stores, it's a redneck's worst nightmare - yep, IT'S MILFORD! I love this town! Not too rural; not too city although the traffic was pretty bad and ugly utility lines everywhere.

I'm hardly a redneck, and your written description of yoga and liberals and hybrids makes me want to run for the hills, but those pictures are beautiful! I'll definately take a drive out that way to see Milford for myself (I won't come in my pickup with the critter tails hanging from the antenna and mirror, however).

You might want to leave your shotgun at home also.

Incredible job, George! You managed to even outdo my own Milford Photo Tour! Way to go! I prefer Lewisburg over Milford myself for the socially-progressive atmosphere, but to each his own.

Default What's in a name?

My name says it all. I'm half redneck ( I don't own a shotgun ), and according to your written description Milford still seems very appealing. BTW,.

Great Pictures.

blessings....Franco

Besides the tourist-oriented downtown there is a traditional chain-style shopping area about ten minutes northeast of town in the Matamoras suburb of Westfall Township. Here you will find a KMart, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Staples, and a few other chain stores and restaurants. If the population of Pike County continues to explode as it has been over the past decade, I can definitely foresee that same stretch getting an indoor shopping mall with anchor stores in about ten years (perhaps the "Delaware Valley Mall?") There are more shopping options available in Middletown, NY and the Scranton, PA area has just about every chain store you could think of, but both are a pretty good hike away along I-84 to the east and west respectively.

You know, I didn't actually see one. I just assumed if there's a Honda Insight there has to be one nearby If not I see a great business opportunity.

Polarity therapist???? They wouldn't let you within 100 miles of a truck pull I really like that whole area along the Delaware. I'll have to do more exploring of Shohola, Lackawaxen, Dingman etc.
