Which cell phone carrier gives the best reception in Pennsylvania? What are you using? Are you happy with it?

Depends on where you are. In the back country of Adams County, the best is Sprint-Nextel. Hanover is Verizon. Cingular/ATT seems to be about an average and dosent have too much in the way of dead zones.

It's interesting to see how different carriers work in various areas of the state. I wonder why some some cell phone carriers work better in some areas while some don't.

We use Verizon and travel quite a bit around the US. There are always dead spots in mountains and very rural areas but it's worked well for us. In consumer reports latest reviews it had the highest ratings. That said, I would find out what works best in the area you live/will be living in.

We had AT&T, which then became Cingular and then went back to AT&T. We had lots of dead spots and dead air in central PA and the Hazleton area.

We now have Verizon and it's much better.

I use T-Mobile's network in the Harrisburg area. It isn't as robust as Verizon's or ATT&T's. They seem to be a few years behind for some reason.

I've lived in NY, CT, VT and 3 different areas in PA and Verizon has always been the best!

It's seems like Verizon has the best reception and customer satisfaction. I have occasional problems with my T-Mobile, and I'm in the Bethlehem area. I'm leaning towards Verizon as my next carrier.

Thank you toobusytoday. My contract with T-mobile expires the end of November. I'll probably switch to Verizon then.
