My husband and I are thinking of moving to York. I have been researching the area and read that York is the most dangerous city in PA. Now I'm nervous about going there. We're really just trying to find a
55+ community that's not far from Maryland, where our children live. Any suggestions?

I just want to point out, that those stats are most likely from a clearly defined city limits perspective. And even in the city, its easy to tell the bad parts from the good parts, most of the crime is from the drug and gang activity, unless you plan to be dealing or joining a gang, you'll be alright. I assume you wouldn't be moving directly into the city limits anyway, so throw all the crime stats out the window.
