Nicely done. Where was that first shot from? What building where you in? That isn't from the Pagoda. Reading has so many treasures for architectural photography.

If you ever get back to Reading go up to the Pagoda overlook. I always thought Reading would be flat, but like Pittsburgh and Johnstown there is a nice overlook of the city from a large hill/small mountain.

Looks like your blog is getting a lot of hits.

The pictures overlooking the city were taken from my hotel room in the Abraham Lincoln Hotel and the top of the parking garage. Glad you enjoyed!

You did a wonderful job. I never realized that Reading was such a beautiful city and would have never imagined that it would be so intact with all that I have heard about it.

Well done! You have really showcased Reading very well.

It's great to see that, despite its fiscal woes and economic challenges, the city really is in remarkable shape and remains stabilized.

With its proximity to the Philadelphia area (and potential for commuter rail service that could finally come to fruition in the next decade), I think only good things are on the horizon for Reading in the coming years.

Thank you for sharing. With so many examples of such wonderful architecture, I found myself thinking of a future where Reading stages a comeback and people coming along and restoring some of those older buildings.
