I can't really say because I rarely hear 'only in Philly'...I more often hear 'oh it happens everywhere'...

Wrong, you're just trying to illicit a response. Crime is the biggest subject, apparently it has to be spelled out for you.

crime only happens in philly? incorrect. I don't need it spelled out for me, you're wrong and it's plain as day. I figured your snide comments were baseless and it turned out to be true. gnutella pointed out that Pennsylvanians often like to complain that things are worse in PA than elsewhere when, in fact, they are not. Philadelphians often do the same thing with all sorts of mundane items when, in fact, very little is unique. it ranges from sports fans believing Philly is somehow more cursed than other places to political corruption to even bad behavior.

Well I will continue to complain about liquor control in PA until it is privatized and more affordable with a better selection. Some things are rather different in PA than most other places, but I agree that many people are guilty of complaining about things and making it seem like they only happen in PA.

Amen to that.

I'll continue to complain until I can get Two Buck Chuck at Trader Joe's without having to drive to Michigan or Ohio.

My Minnesota-native girlfriend has told me about this elusive "Two Buck Chuck." Do the Trader Joe's in Northern Delaware have it? Does Trader Joe's even have a store in Northern Delaware?

Commence googling...

...yes to Trader Joe's in Northern Delaware, no to alcohol at the Trader Joe's in Northern Delaware.

Apparently the one in Princeton has it. Is it worth the hour drive?

that's one thing that you really can say "only in PA" and be right!

Before you talk about snide comments you should perhaps look at your own...

Apparently it does need to be spelled out to you, there is higher crime in Philly than probably the whole state combined so so much for 'baseless' comments...

Agreed on the mundane things like sports though, see I can agree but apparently you can not and have to come back with something argumentative.

I can think of one thing that would make me want to leave PA: if Philadelphia was given to New Jersey. Sorry, but anyone that thinks that should happen simply isn't thinking.
