Hello! We just moved to Spring Grove, PA (17362) for my husband's new job. We are looking for a good Catholic Church, preferably within 20 minutes of us, in the York/Hanover area.

We tried the tiny little Sacred Heart church here in downtown Spring Grove but, while lovely, this church was a bit too small for our preference. There was nowhere to park, or sit (we had to sit in the front row with the clergy), and in a room so small, our baby would be too disruptive, with no vestibule to take him when he makes noise.

We come from a church of 4,000 parishioners in Ohio and are used to a big place where we can blend in, meet more people, and big enough that our baby isn't very disruptive. I was wondering if any parishioners of St. Rose, St. Patrick's, Sts. Peter & Paul, etc. in York could tell me a little about their church? What do you recommend? Thank you so much & God bless!

Hi. I hope by this time you've settled into a parish that you're happy with. St. Joseph's on Kingston Rd in York, PA would probably be a great match for you, but travel time to the church might rule that out.

Welcome to the area!

St. Joseph's in York is a very large congregation. Delone Catholic is the large Catholic High School. Not sure if there's a church that goes along with it or not?
