Some of the reporters need to report more good than bad. Some people who don't venture to Philly because of the bad stigma it has. I honestly think it does need help. But it has great things as well. The Zoo, Art Museum, Franklin Museum, Cheesesteaks, old style delies, old style restraunts, the huge Library, famous shows like the Nutcracker, the sports stadium, the great music and arts...with so much more.

A lot of people from outside of Philadelphia look at it as a massively dysfunctional system that isn't able to do simple things like collect property taxes. This leads them to wonder why the state should bail them out when they don't even do simple things in their self interest to keep them from needing to be bailed out. This leads to resentment.
