OK; get rid of all the other taxes and then come after us for pay-by-the-mile! The legal dictionary tells us that a toll is just another form of taxation. So now you are saying that we have sales tax, fuel tax and you want a toll tax on top of that - empty out your own pockets and leave mine alone! We are paying your "user fee" over and over again - give us a break!

the dictionary tells you a toll is a fee paid for use of, say, a road but hey dont let me get in the way of you lying to yourself. do sales taxes apply to tolls or are facts not really part of this ramble ? no toll tax just a toll to fund maintenance of the interstate you use but dont pay for. fact is you are the one stealing my money. thats why you refuse to pay your share because you know youre underpaying. stop stealing from me and then refusing to pay up. so long as you agree to give us a larger share of the states road spending you can keep everything else the same.

I'm not stealing your money - government is stealing ours. You will never get it in a thousand years. You are already paying state income tax. You pay sales tax on most of the dollars you spend and you currently pay fuel tax on every dollar's worth of fuel you buy. You also pay tolls on some of our roads as well as registration and licensing fees. We are not lambs for you to slaughter or slaves for government. Your term "toll" is described the Black's Law Dictionary as just another tax. You can scream all you want; but you will never get my vote for more money to prop up a wasteful system. The mechanism is already in place to get more money if needed - without more bureaucracy. If you cannot hold on to the money assigned for road repair; perhaps you just don't deserve more.

yes, I guess I can't understand your rudimentary point. the reality is the opposite, you are either unwilling or unable to recognize that the world is not black and white

Toll - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary
it's both and there's nothing unfair about it no matter how much you whine. so because my representatives aren't as adept at skimming funds for our district I don't deserve them? at least you wear your bold faced hypocrisy with pride. every year that passes your area ages. You may or may not be aware of the major demographic changes afoot in PA but the state is increasingly SEPA. I used to defend other parts of the state but the more I hear you people talk the less I think you deserve defense. nothing but greedy children.

Yes; I like their third definition of the word toll: " a grievous or ruinous price"!

Talk about me not giving up; your like a dog with a bone. You keep your hands on your wallet and I'll keep my hands on mine! A tax is a tax, is a tax - even if it is a toll!
