We are thinking about buying a new house in New hanover township, Gilbertsville, PA. What would be your suggestion, is this a nice place to move to regarding the resale value of a house. I am aware of the commute as I go to work in KOP. I am thinking of moving there from an investment perspective.

Default moving to new hanover

We are moving from Richmond, VA and are building in Bella Visa. After researching the schools, distance to KOP, and other things we feel that you cannot go wrong with this area. It seems that everything is moving in that direction and they cannot build houses fast enough. It looks like the power plant has not caused any concern and has not hurt property values at all. In Limerick there are houses being built starting at 500k that have a view of the cooling towers.

Default Moving to Gilbertsville

From what I can see is that, there will be some change in Gilbertsville but it will take some time maybe 4-5 years. Then it is going to take off.
Regarding the TOWERS, it is really funny how people talk about it. If god forbid something happened, do you think people in Lansdale will be safe?? Just because we do not see it, does not mean it is not there !!

Further it is also a source of employment. Anyway, hope evrything works out for everyone.

I am looking to relocate to the Collegeville area and was also wondering about Gilbertsville, Royersford, Spring City and the surrounding areas. Gilbertsville does have four developments ongoing at the moment which indicates it is growing but I would appreciate opinions about this area.
