Philadelphia-Pittsburgh with a piece of Camden as one metro area. Now imagine PA with one bigger city.

MSA population: 8,379,533 (not exact but close enough)

Cool map!

Just one question though: why is Pittsburgh in New Jersey? Is that meant to reflct the moderately higher property taxes.

BTW, if Philadelphia and Pittsburgh could be located across the Ohioware from one another and still retain their overlapping (but ultimately distinct) cultures, I'd be in heaven! Chipped ham cheesesteak, anyone?

The fusion of urban cultural personalities of both cities. The best of both worlds. Steeler and Eagle fans share the same space together at last. The Twin Cities of PA.

It's nice but would be better without Camden.

Camden really that bad? If you could replace Camden with any small city in PA it's size what would it be? Harrisburg?

I would throw in Erie instead of Harrisburg. I prefer a great lake over the Susquehanna River, which is not a knock on the river, but more of a nod to Lake Erie.

Very nice! That would be awesome. I would love for Downtown Pittsburgh to be nestled in between Center City and University City though in the Schuylkill River. That would make for one very impressive skyline. The rest of Pittsburgh could replace the location of Camden and sit smack dab in the Delaware with Oakland closest to Old City.

Either the rest of Pittsburgh as mentioned above or possibly Lancaster or Bethlehem.
