So I was watching the news tonight in Erie and they mentioned that Erie is one of the locations in the new reality show on AMC called Game of Arms. This is pretty interesting and here is a link to information about the Erie "team" : Game of Arms - Wrecking Crew Profile (Erie): Game of Arms – AMC

I missed it. Thank goodness for On Demand.

I saw where some friends of mine went to a viewing party at the Wesleyville VFW. () Chatter on Facebook is ranging from "really cool!" to "made Erie look ugly". But I'm guessing that the gritty, decayed-industrial shots of the city meshed well with the storyline.

Twenty years ago, filmmakers flocked to Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood because of its gritty decay; now the neighborhood is in the midst of large-scale revitalization. Granted, it's OTR's third or fourth "revival", but this one seems to be sticking. So .... You never know.

Not gonna happen. Erie doesn't have the awesome historic streetscapes of OTR.

You read a lot into a simple sentence, don't you?

Things don't happen for the same reasons.

What's with the 'tude? I thought you'd be pleased that I was praising Ohio.

Watched it last night. Yeah, it was gritty, but I wouldn't expect guys who arm wrestle to be anything but.

Beer and bowling ... It was perfect.
