I know that final designs for I-80 in Stroudsburg, I-83 in Harrisburg and York, U.S. 22 in Allentown, and U.S. 422 in Reading are now underway thanks to it. It's not actual construction, but it's the last step before construction begins.

Supposedly, the Schuylkill River Crossings Project, which is the plan to widen 422 over the River and then all the way east to its terminus at 202/76/276 is being advanced two years and will start next year. That's a good thing.

422 has a major capacity problem. The area of the bridge is a bottleneck.

Eastbound, the highway feeds the Turnpike, the Schuylkill, 202, Swedesford Road, Gulph Road, and a few others. 422 backs up, not the roads it feeds.

So the daily back up from Royersford to 23 is due to the bridge? 422 is a dead end road.

this is highly inaccurate. all of those roads back up except maybe turnpike (don't use it so I don't know).
