I just got a job in New Castle City, DE and my husband is transferring to Collegeville, PA. We currently live in Buffalo,NY and neither of us have any knowledge about the areas around these locations apart from my limited online research. Would love to hear your suggestions on where to live? We are both in our mid-thirties. We have no kids and are not planning on any. We want somewhere more urban, were we can walk to restaurants and bars, etc. We are initially looking to rent and eventually buy. Can spend $1500 - $2500/monthly. I have read several post were people suggest Media, is it really as good as they say? I've also looked at Trolley Square in Wilmington but my husband is not to keen on Wilmington given its high crime rate. I know this is a PA forum, but does anyone know if Trolley Square is really that bad? Open to any suggestions! Also curious on traffic issues. I've been ready the I95 is awful at rush hour? Thanks in advance!!

It's New Castle, not New Castle City. I would suggest West Chester, it's comparable to Media and a better halfway point between the two places. The further west, the less traffic. Avoid I-95 if possible.
