It's pretty safe to say that by 2050, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh will continue to be the largest urban areas in the state. It was brought up in another thread that, although Allentown is the 3rd largest, it does not "act" it. By 2050 will Harrisburg pass up Allentown due to its growth (being nearest to DC), Scranton (from the influx from NYC), or any other city in PA pass up Allentown? Thoughts?

I think it will still be Allentown. Reading is already part of the Philly area so it won't be a threat to the Lehigh Valley and I don't think Erie will grow fast enough to claim the #3 spot.

I've randomly visited the city of West Chester for work last Spring. It was beautiful. Loved the downtown. Ate at "Mas" an amazing Mexican restuarant.
