Hello. I was wondering if anyone could help me with information on police employment in Pennsylvania? Specifiically the areas of Potter, Tioga, and Bradford counties? Availability of jobs, going pay rates, what may be some of the better places to look for work? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately, the pay for municipal police in our area is poor and full-time employment is difficult to secure. Many of the patrolmen start by working part-time for more than one town at a time. Definitely expect to make less than $25,000/year and no benefits if it's a part time position. Several communities have been eliminating their municipal police forces as well. The best bet would seriously be the state police and getting posted up here isn't hard since it's a frequent rookie assignment.

Why exactly do you even have a state police barracks up there? Other than the mobile home meth labs in rural Bradford County the biggest "crime" up in your area is probably a cat getting stuck in a tree or a housing being toilet-papered! LOL!
