problems with your lots....Have you considered Hidden Lake Estates off of 590?? They have great lots and a nice lake.

What realtor&agency are you using? I am pretty familiar with the Lk W area

We are using Remax in Honesdale. We really want a piece of property in the country and would really like to stay out of the developments. We didn't find any rural lots the last time we were up. Hope when we come up in January something is available. We can spend up to $35,000 for a piece of property but would love to get it a bit lower.

Our price range for a resale is the mid to higher $100,000's. $155,000 to 165,000 would be great. Property would be an acre or more in the country and not over $30,000. The lower the better !

Have you checked NW PA? Lots of sub $50 houses there. Prices arent as good in the NE PA or at least I havent found any as good. If you are looking for rural, the land should be extremely cheap, anywhere from $1000 to $5000 an acre depending on location, proximity to cities and towns and frontage like being by a nice river, stream or lake Try to find a lot that already has a house on it. It arent cheap to build a house with todays material prices!

Please read all the Florida threads. Everyone wants out of Florida and they state their reasons. Youll understand. PA is less popular than Florida but that could be changing. I am moving to Oil city, PA. If you can show me where I can get a big nice 4 bedroom Florida house for $50k(which ive deemed impossible) in a very low crime area, ill stay. I refuse to pay those ridiculous Florida house prices!

I'll take the snow and ice anyday over the monotonous sunshine day after day after day. Our family is back north and I want to be able to be at any of their homes in a couple of hours. Florida has alot of problems and we can always visit that state in the winter.
