Specter almost lost to a female after the Anita Hill/Clarence Thomas fiasco.

Both are running ads that shred the other and neither candidate looks appealing. I'm not voting for Toomey based on his anti gun stance and I'd certainly not give his opponent a vote, she'd be even worse. So its third party or I'll leave the ballot blank like I often do.

Pat Toomey can cry all the crocodile tears in the world that he wants if he loses, but it's his own fault. Sometimes you need to recognize when "toting the party line" is NOT in your best interest.
>>>> Toomey's damaged himself not by being close to Trump( he's never campaigned on his behalf or ever cozied up to him) or by towing the GOP party line. Rather, he's broken ranks and worked with dems on issues like gun control and THAT's what has hurt him among the party. I guess he's kind of towed the party line by distancing himself from Trump and that may or may not have hurt him. I'm a libertarian and not voting for him although his opponent would be even worse and I'd never vote for her either. And I'd love to get our other dingus senator, Bob Casey, out. He's even worse. A real jellyfish party suck up.

Toomey isn't anti gun but presumably you are opposed to background checks. Good luck if you think mcginty is essential anti gun.

Toomey's a FUDD. Sure, he's not anti-gun, but he's the type that thinks all you need is a shotgun, and you shouldn't be able to sell or trade one to the neighbor you've known most your life. May as well elect a Democrat in that case. (There are other reasons to elect, or not elect, Toomey, but don't think he's a big 2nd amendment proponent.)

As bad as Toomey is, he is still preferable to McGinty (this coming from a Republican).

Maybe the PA Republican Party can nominate a REAL Republican to challenge Casey in two years.

Yeah that will work in a moderate state that leans slightly blue in the presidential race, go even more right wing.

I like Toomey's record on immigration - his challenger might as well be Hillary or Casey and open borders. Yes; I wish that we could challenge Casey. The crowd we currently have in the WH is not on our side. I do see some polls that show almost a dead heat. Tomorrow's turnout will be key to either side.

Not sure I see the basis for your open borders claims
