We are looking to move to the Lehigh Valley area and I was wondering what kind of night life there is for our college student. She is so sure that she will have no life there? Is she right?

Hmm--what kind of nightlife is this college student looking for? Age? Where does she go to school-wouldn't her college area be of more importance to her than where her parents live?

Default Hmmm...more questions than answers

If there is a college, there will be a night life. I'm not sure what school she is trying to go to. Allentown is pretty close by and has some night life. I'm not sure what kind of night life she is looking for or if she is of age to even have a night life.

Depends on where you're coming from. If you are coming from NYC or some other well-populated area, it's going to be a big change. But ditto everyone else; there are several colleges in the area so there are things to do.

There is some nightlife in the area, but not a vast variety. Also keep in mind that there is very little public transit in the Valley, so if your daughter is looking for the club/bar scene(which largely dominates the nightlife here) a designated driver is really the only way to get around. Explore each city, all 3 are very different in what they offer, and find a good comprimise between what you are looking for in a home and what is good for your daughter.

As far as night life, what exactly do kids do that are below the age of 21 where you are coming from? Perhaps that would help people in the area you are moving to answer your question more accurately. Of course with any college student, everything that I would consider ' night life' , cost's money no matter where you go. How much money can a kid spend on entertainment while in college? I think the true answer here is once she makes friends, and she will, she will make her own fun.

There is the Crockidle Rock, that usually has some smaller national acts, especially heavy metal, hardcore and rock and roll bands.
